Product capacity
Maximum load: 110 lbs.
Maximum user weight: 220 lbs.
When the backrest is loaded with 110 lbs, each wall fastener will be carrying 130 lbs.
Backrests need to be able to support the weight of the person who is leaning against it.
The backrest is not intended to carry the full body weight of a person, and the test methods applicable to backrests reflect this: ISO 17966 prescribes a static test at 50% of maximum user weight, i.e. when the maximum load on a wash basin bracket is given as 110 lbs, it is – according to ISO 17966 – the equivalent of a user weighing 220 lbs leaning on the backrest.
